Toshiaki Yoshida, PhD, is a social scientist who applies mixed- and multi-method approaches to questions arising at the intersection of political science and sociology. With substantive interests in Contentious Siting, Social Movements, Energy Policy, Environmental Politics, and Japanese Politics, my work appears or is forthcoming in Energy Research & Social Science and Communications Earth & Environment.

During the academic year 2025–2026, I serve as a Japan Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at the Program on US-Japan Relations, Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, Harvard University. I received my PhD in Political Science from Northeastern University in 2025.

I will be available for faculty and postdoctoral positions beginning in Fall 2026.
